Kpop groups 2NE1 and 2PM has been confirmed in the first line-up performances for this year's MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2012.

On March 19th, MTV Japan updated its official website and revealed the line-up of performances for the upcoming event. Alongside 2NE1 and 2PM, the show also includes other Japanese acts including EXILE, Kato Miliyah, J.Soul Brothers, ROLA, w-inds and more.

MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2012 will take place on June 23rd at Makuhari Messe, a convention center just outside Tokyo. Japanese artist Perfume will be the MC’s for this year’s show.

Meanwhile, Kpop groups Girls' Generation, KARA, CNBLUE, 2NE1, SHINee and 2PM received nominations in different categories for MTV VMAJ 2012.
