The latest Korean romance film ‘Introduction to Architecture’ is wowing at the box office, and surpassed the one million mark in just eight days since its release.
According to the Korean Film Council′s Compiled Ticket Computer Network, ‘Introduction to Architecture’ brought in 1,000,286 moviegoers since its premiere eight days ago on March 22 and stayed at the top of the box office.
The film is also set to exceed the popularity of past hits of the same genre such as “Late Autumn” (2010) and “Closer to Heaven” (2010).
Male moviegoers are the backbone of the movie’s sales, an unusual path to success for a romantic drama. Critics have said that ‘Introduction to Architecture’ especially resonates with the nostalgia men feel for their past loves.
‘Introduction to Architecture’ is a romantic story that expands on the memories of ‘first love’ between two college students who meet again as adults. The movie stars Uhm Tae Woong, Han Ga In, Lee Je Hoon and Suzy.
