The godfather of Korean hip hop, Tiger JK has beat out K-Pop idol groups in Brazil chart!

On March 29 the popular Brazilian website “BAH” held a vote for K-Pop music and Tiger JK beat out Girls’ Generation, TVXQ, Super Junior, SHINee and Big Bang to take the number one with his 2009 hits “Monster”.

Tiger JK does not have any special promotions going on in Brazil, making this especially meaningful as it is determined by fan votes.

Tiger JK and his wife Yoon Mirae previously appeared on Brazil’s Rede TV’s “Leitura Dinamica” in November 2011 and were introduced as the Asian hip hop stars.
