[NEWS] NU'EST: "Sasaeng fans?" “That could happen if you like someone”!
2012.04.05
What are sasaeng fans to NU'EST?
NU'EST who had their debut on the 15th of of March and is currently 2 weeks into their debut, don't know how to react yet when we asked about 'sasaeng fans'.
Sasaeng fans have been catching a lot of attention in the music industry these days, and has been getting a lot of controversy as well. It seems like it is difficult for the idol singers who have debuted to step away from sasaengs as well.
WSTAR NEWS has met up with NU'EST for an interview and we have asked them what they will do if they get sasaeng fans.
"There are people who follow us around, but I don't know if they are sasaeng fans. I was once heading for an interview late at night but they arrived at the location before I did. The managers only know the location, so I very surprised."(Baekho)
"We went to Kangreung for a reality program recording, and the fans knew the location somehow and were there before us"(Minhyun)
“To be honest, it wasn't a surprise for me. If you ask around our neighborhood, they know where NU'EST is recording.(laughs)"(JR)
We could see the members quite confused at the question. We could feel that they were having a hard time trying to say at what stage they could distinguish a fan to a sasaeng fan. They were surprised and gave reactions such as "Ah..ah.. that is a little" when we have explained what the sasaeng fans do on a daily basis.
“But the fans do this because they like us. I don't think that sasaengs are that bad in my opinion. This could happen if you like someone a lot. it's fascinating for us"(Baekho)
NU'EST came with a conclusion with a bright smile and said "We are thankful for the fans who like us". At this stage they are just thankful when they hear the word 'fan'. Baekho said "We can remember the fans who come to our recording studios to see us and come to the fansigns"
NU'EST being emotionally touched by the small love given from the fans was more impressive than the comments they gave about taking over the music scene. We can anticipate NU'EST as an artist who can emotionally touch the fans with one action rather than a hundred words.
Meanwhile, NU'EST is promoting their debut song 'FACE' by sending out messages on the bad things going on in school and daily lives.
