2012.04.18
Actress Kim Seo Hyung reminisced the time when she was called a cocky rookie.
Kim Seo Hyung spoke about her experience as a rookie when she debuted as an open recruit actress but had to endure only short roles and live on rooftop houses on the KBS 2TV program “Win Win”. When she was asked why she was called ‘cocky’ she said, “I only said what needed to be said”.
She said, “It is compulsory for open recruits to be on stage of the acting awards. I was late for script reading but I notified someone beforehand. Still, the producer asked me where I was and why I was late.”
Although she told him what happened, the PD threw an ashtray at Kim Seo Hyung and dumbfounded, she just stared at him. “I couldn't say I was sorry and I wondered what he had just thrown at me.”
She continued, “This wasn't fair but I was dragged out.” She also explained that she was put off from dramas, almost being kicked out as an open recruit and had to suffer trouble for casting.
