[NEWS] JYJ Yoochun’s “SungKyunKwan Scandal” wins bronze at the New York TV Festival

We previously reported that the KBS 2TV drama “SungKyunKwan Scandal” has been selected as a finalist at the “2012 New York TV Festival”. After a month of voting, it has been revealed that the drama took home the Bronze Award.
Producer Kwak Gi Won, who directed “Sungkyunkwan Scandal”, was in attendance at the “2012 New York Television Festival”, which was held in Las Vegas, America, on April 17th. After receiving the award, he expressed, “Aside from the Korean audiences, I am looking forward to the Hallyu boom, which has swept across Asian countries such as Japan.”
The series, which was broadcasted on 2010, follows a woman played by Park Min Young who disguises herself as a man to enter the prestigious Sungkyunkwan National Confucian Academy, the Chosun kingdom’s highest educational institute, where no women were allowed. The drama was also became a hot topic with casts such as JYJ’s Park Yoochun and Yoo Ah In.
