As reported earlier, T-ara recently held a contest in naming the Core Contents Media’s new seven-member girl group. The group promised to give away signed photobooks for the fans who came up with good names. It seems they have finally decided on its official name and revealed it to the public.

From nearly 37,500 submissions, T-ara and its agency decided to name them, “Gang Kids.” The meaning behind “Gang Kids” is that the girls are cute bad girls.

“Gang Kids” will be comprised of actresses Hwang Jihyun, Choi Sooeun, Lee Haein, supermodel Kim Hyeji and Somin, Eunbyul and Esther. The group recently traveled along with T-ara across Europe in Italy, Austria and Switzerland to film their music video.

The group is expected to make debut in May.
