The Korean musical ‘Jack the Ripper’ featuring Super Junior’s Sungmin is about to raise its curtains in Japan!

According to Japanese media Sankei Sports on May 2nd, “Korea’s popular musical ‘Jack the Ripper’ will open in Japan on September and October and will be performed at Tokyo Aoyama Theatre.”

The report also revealed that Super Junior’s Sungmin and Ahn Jaewook will reprise their role as young doctor named Daniel, while singer-actor Shin Sungwoo will play the Jack the Ripper.

‘Jack the Ripper’ is the hit musical that is on its third run since its premiere in 2009 in Korea. The piece is based on an unidentified serial killer of female prostitutes in London during the late 19th century.

The show is also known as the first musical from Europe that has been reconstructed by a local production team.
