JYJ’s Kim Junsu has been ranked on the bilboard charts as a solo artist。
According to announcements from Billboard America on 25 May, Junsu’s first solo album “Xia Tarantallegra” was ranked at number 10 of the world album charts. It was ranked in the billboard charts within 10 days of going on asle.
The world album charts is ranked by Nielsen Sound Scan, for based on volume of albums sold in the American or Canadian regions. Junsu has proven that he has transcended Asia, and made it in America.
Junsu’s management company C-JeS entertainment said, “He managed to accomplish this without any broadcast activities at all. This shows that the world has responded to his sensation-based music. JYJ are true K-pop stars, with fans from all over the world. We hope that you continue to support him on his path in the future.”
Aside from this, Junsu was ranked 9th on th Oricon Charts (last week of May), and first on iTunes. He is currently on his Asia tour, which will be held in 7 countries starting from Thailand, Indonesia. Taiwan etc.
