Pledis Entertainment has revealed that After School’s Kahi is “graduating” from the group.
A representative from Pledis stated, “Kahi is graduating from After School. She will be focusing on her solo career as a solo artist and actress.” Following Bekah who left July 2011, Kahi is the second member to graduate from the group.
Since 2009, Kahi led After School into popularity, trying out different genres and venues, including venturing into singing, dancing and acting through KBS’ “Dream High 2.”
Kahi will participate in the group’s June 17th encore concert in Tokyo, and finish up remaining promotional activities in Japan, which end this September, before preparing as an official solo artist.
On her graduation, Kahi said, “To all the After School fans who have given so much love and to my members who have cried, laughed, and suffered with me since we debuted, I thank you all so much.”
