Recently, a large numbers of rookies have emerged among the talented idols and are taking the lead in the first half of 2012. Apart from possessing strong visuals, idols require skills and ambitions as well if they want to overcome the newcomers who are debuting successfully in the music industry.

B.A.P, who has risen to popularity through their debut song, “Warrior”, is now establishing themselves through their follow-up song, “Power”.The powerful debut choreography that reminded us of H.O.T, as well as their tough rapping, caused B.A.P to receive much attention from the public. “Power” has also managed to make these popular men look like real warriors. On May 12th, their second single, “Power” has landed them in one of the top 10 spots on the Billboard World Album charts.

EXO-K, SM Entertainment's newly-debuted group, has also made several headlines. Having debuted with their first Korean and Chinese mini-album 'MAMA' on April 9th, EXO-K and EXO-M are currently promoting separately in Korea and China respectively. EXO obtained their name from EXOPLANET, which represents a planet that lies outside the solar system, and possesses the meaning that a new star has come from that unknown world. Since they came from an unknown world, EXO-K describes themselves as the idol group with a totally different concept that has been proven in maintaining the popularity of certain groups for a long time.

With the emergence of these male rookie artists, the landscape of the music industry is being shaken up well.
