On June 20th Oricon released their sales ranking numbers for the first half of 2012, and Girls’ Generation’s blu-ray and DVD sales placed in second and fourth in their respective categories.

The “Girls’ Generation First Japan Tour” DVD sold 148,718 copies to rank in fourth place. The blu-ray version sold around 56,000 copies to place in 2nd.

Also ranking in on Oricon’s sales chart was Girls’ Generation’s first Japanese album “Girls’ Generation”. The album placed in eleventh and sold a total of 209,679 copies in the first half of 2012. The album was released over a year ago on June 1st, 2011.
