K-pop robots are going to take over the world soon!
The South Korean robot maker, Dongbu Robot, announced on June 25th that they will form a consortium with other robot makers Intelligent & Recreational Robot and Ocean Bridge E&T to develop the high-tech entertainment robots, “K-Pop Star Robot” which will be released by year-end.
According to Dongbu, these robots will impersonate K-pop stars such as Girls’ Generation and Super Junior. They will have an exterior the idols’ images using attachable artificial skin and will be able to fully reenact movements and dances of stars using more than 20 artificial motor joints installed all over its body.
