2012.07.05
Wonder Girls member Yenny confessed that she was in a relationship recently.
“I dated someone for a short time. I met him in New York, and we dated for around two months,” said Yenny on the July 3 episode of SBS’ “Strong Heart.”
The Wonder Girl member said that through bickering over her busy schedule, the two decided to part ways, but that she changed her mind and called her ex to see if they could patch things up.
“I called him up to see if wanted to try again, but he was already seeing someone else, and he was with her then,” explained Yenny.
The 23-year-old singer said that she channeled the bitter experience when she wrote the song “Girlfriend” contained on the group’s new album “Wonder Party.” The song tells the tale of an exchange between a girl and her ex-boyfriend who has moved on.
On the show, Jo Kwon of 2AM and 2PM’s Wooyoung, who are both in the same agency as Yenny, said they were also shocked by the announcement.
Previously, Sunye of Wonder Girls owned up to being in a relationship on the same talk show.
