Singer IU’s first nationwide concert tour attracted over 20,000 spectators. According to her management company Loen Entertainment on July 16th, IU’s tour began in Seoul last month and traveled to other cities such as Ulsan, Jeonju, Suwon, Busan and Daegu until July 15th. A total of 11 concerts were held in the six different cities and over 20,000 fans came to see her perform.
IU’s reps said, “Although IU is a solo female artist in her 20s, ticket sales for all 11 concerts recorded 90%, surprising industry insiders.” They added that the concerts were enjoyed by teenage boys and men in their 20s as well as people in their 40s and 50s who came with their children.
The singer herself said she was able to grow through the concert and promised to work hard to become a singer that shines on stage. IU will be releasing her second Japanese single “You & I” on July 18th.
