SBS drama ‘The Chaser’ ended in success and with a new record.
According to AGB Nielsen Media Records on the 17th, the final episode of ‘The Chaser’ rated 22.6%. ‘The Chaser’ ended with a new record breaking the previous 20.7%.
The plot behind the accident that was the starting point of Baek Hong Seok’s (Son Hyeon Joo) daughters death, Kang Dong Yoon’s (Kim Sang Joong) fall out from the presidential election and everything else, was revealed.
Baek was able to clear his daughter’s name but he was charged with murder, escape, insulting the court and other matters. The court told Baek, “We understand your anger in having lost your daughter’s death but the law doesn’t allow self-help” and gave him 15 years. However, his dead daughter Soo Jeong appeared in front of him and said, “Thank you Daddy, you’re not guilty.”
‘The Chaser’ is one of the highest rated Korean TV series in the first half of 2012, and a rise in its popularity based on the well-structured storyline and cast members' acting skills have led to an steep increase in its ratings as well.
Meanwhile, KBS 2TV ‘Big’ rated 7.8% and MBC ‘Golden Time’ rated 7.4%.
