Solo singer Jay Park has become the first Asian artist to achieve the gold status with a mixtape.

According to SidusHQ, Jay Park’s mixtape ‘FRESH A!R:BREATH !T’, which was released last May, has officially certified as gold by America’s largest mixtape site, DatPiff. The mixtape album has earned the gold title after reaching over 100,000 downloads on the site.

‘FRESH A!R:BREATH !T’ was distributed online for free by Jay Park last month as an expression of gratitude for his fans. The self-produced album features six tracks sung in English, and features artists like Dumbfoundead, ChaCha Malone and LODEF.

The mixtape is in the upper ranks of the mixtape chart with such world-famous musicians as Kanye West and 50 Cent.
