Super Junior’s new album sells over 330,000 copies

Hallyu group Super Junior’s latest sixth album “Sexy, Free & Single” has sold over 300,000 copies, ranking 1st on the July music sales chart. According to Gaon Chart on August 13th, the album which was released on July 4th, sold 335,744 copies during the entire month. The number of copies sold was higher than any other artist for July.
The album rose to 1st place on the chart in the 2nd week of July and has kept the number one spot for three consecutive weeks. In second place was BEAST’s mini-album “Midnight Sun” which sold 67,835 copies.
2PM’s Jang Wooyoung also released his first solo album, ”23, Male, Single” which sold 52,618 copies placing him in third place while T-ara’s ”Day by Day” was in fourth with 34,181 albums sold.
Psy’s 6th album which includes the YouTube hit “Gangnam Style” was in fifth place selling 32,309 copies, and BoA, who made a comeback after two years, ranked 6th with her 7th album ”Only One” selling 28,576 copies. The newcomers, NU’EST, gained attention with their single Action selling 15,564 copies and ranking 8th.
