Global sensation, K-pop artist Psy has been nominated in the popular MTV EMA's. On the 17th of September, the list of categories and nominees were released on the official website of 2012 MTV Europe Music Video Award. On the best category, Psy was nominated with his hit song and music video "Gangnam Style".

Psy will be competing against Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, MIA, and Rihanna. No doubt it will be tough competition for the category. Psy updated his twitter account after finding out he has been nominated and shared his shock saying, "I cannot hide my surprise! It's very surreal!". Meanwhile, The MTV 2012 EMA's will be held in November 11 at the Fresthalle Frankfurt, Germany.
