“Gangnam Style” rapper Psy is being honored at the American Music Awards.

On November 13th, People and other media outlets reported that Psy will be receiving the New Media Honoree at ‘2012 American Music Awards’. The ceremony will take place on November 18 in Los Angeles.

Psy will receive a trophy for his hit single “Gangnam Style” which has now racked up more than 717 million video clicks – during the Coca-Cola Red Carpet LIVE! at the 2012 AMAs pre-show. Psy will also perform his catchy tune during the show itself.

Meanwhile, Psy will also be appearing on the NBC talk show ‘Jay Leno’s Tonight Show’ on November 22.
