Big Bang member T.O.P has been tapped for a role in a historical drama alongside Hallyu star Kim Tae Hee.

T.O.P was recently offered a lead role in SBS TV’s new drama series ‘Jang Ok Jung Lives in Love’ (working title) which will start airing in March next year. A representative of YG Entertainment revealed that the idol singer-actor is favorably looking over the role but has not made his decision yet.

If confirmed, this will be T.O.P’s first role in a historical genre project. He will be starring alongside veteran actress Kim Tae Hee, who has confirmed her spot on the production last October.

‘Jang Ok Jung Lives in Love’ will tell the story of Jang Ok Jung before she became concubine Jang Hee Bin and focus on her role as a fashion designer and cosmetic maker in the Joseon era.
