Rookie singer Lee Hi recently released her follow-up single “Scarecrow” and gained much attention after it was revealed that the song had originally been intended for 2NE1 member, Park Bom.
According to YG Entertainment, “Scarecrow” wasn’t written by Park Jin Young for Lee Hi specifically. The song was actually a favor that Yang Hyun Suk asked from the singer-producer a few years back, but had been held back from being released due to various reasons.
The agency also revealed that is was originally prepared for Park Bom’s solo debut way back in 2007 before she became a member of 2NE1. Park Bom had already finished recording “Scarecrow” and even performed in one of Big Bang’s concerts in the past.
