Girls’ Generation Donates 8 Tons of Rice to Help the Needy

Girls’ Generation is donating eight tons of rice to help those who are in need.
It was revealed by Seoul Gangnam (a district in Seoul) that through rice donations by Girls’ Generation on December 5th, 66,400 people in need will be able to receive a warm meal.
The rice that was donated this time was from the rice that was delivered to Girls’ Generation members at various press conferences as support by fans. 3 tons from Yoona’s “Love Rain” press conference, 3 tons from Sunny’s musical “Catch Me If You Can”, 1.46 tons from Tiffany’s musical “Fame”, and 540kg of rice from Sooyoung’s “The 3rd Hospital” was received from fans.
The rice will be used preciously to be distributed to underfed children, elders without families, and severely disabled people, amongst others.
A source at Gangnam-gu stated, “I want to thank Girls’ Generation and their fans for extending a warmhearted hand to those in need.”
