Girls’ Generation tops Korean singers’ sales in 2012

Girls’ Generation was ranked 7th in Oricon’s ’2012 Annual Total Sales by Artist’ chart. Among the Korean singers plying their trades in Japan, the girls have recorded the highest number of sales in the year 2012.
On December 19th, Oricon officially published the annual singles and album sales ranking for 2012, calculated from December 26th, 2011 to December 17th, 2012.
According to the records published, the ranking of the artists were determined based on total sales from singles, studio albums, CD, DVD, blu-ray and etc. Girls’ Generation came in 7th after registering sales amounting to 4.332 billion Yen (55 billion Won).
Meanwhile, Girls’ Generation will be kicking off their ’2013 Girls’ Generation Arena Tour’ at Niigata, Japan.
