YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk becomes the new #1 celebrity in the ranking of stocks.
According to YG Entertainment on January 2nd, YG CEO Yang Hyun Suk saw a 67% increase in his YG Entertainment stake, jumping from a value of 131.4 billion won at the end of 2011 to 219.5 billion won at the end of 2012.
This edges him ahead of SM Entertainment mogul Lee Soo Man, who used to be #1. Lee ended 2011 with a total stake of 184.7 billion won in SM Entertainment, which was enough to rank him at the top of the celebrity list then. However, he only increased by 8.3% over the past year, wrapping up 2012 with a stock ownership worth 200.1 billion won.
Coming in at third was actor Bae Yong Jun with 23.7 billion won in stocks for KEYEAST Entertainment, next Yang Soo Kyung with 8.2 billion won in Yedang Corporation’s stocks, and Park Jin Young at fifth place with 7.3 billion won in JYP Entertainment shares.
