Sad news in the entertainment realm. Solo singer Hong Jong Myung passed away at the age of 46.

The singer, popular for his many OST songs, died from brain hemorrhage complications. Some of his most popular soundtrack songs were from hit dramas like ‘Beautiful Her’ in 1997 starring Lee Byung Hun and ‘Happy Together’ in 1999 starring Lee Byung Hun and Jeon Ji Hyun. The song “Loving Only Once” was especially popular, which served as the main theme song for the drama starring Bae Yong Joon and Go So Young in 1998, ‘Barefoot Romance’.

The singer released several solo albums to his name, with the most recent one having been ‘Restart’ in 2009. He also worked as a professor at the Seoul University of the Arts.
