KARA’s Kang Jiyoung has confirmed her exit from the long-awaited drama, ‘IRIS 2’.

DSP Media announced on January 8 that due to differences in scheduling and filming, the network and the agency couldn’t see eye to eye on a few matters resulting in Kang Jiyoung walking away from the show.

In the upcoming drama, Jiyoung was originally set to play Song Chae Ran, an undercover agent of NSS. However, she was overwhelmed with her conflicting Japan schedule and ultimately decided to leave the cast.

‘IRIS 2’ is reportedly struggling to fill the vacant spot left by Jiyoung as they open another casting call for the role.
