Rain has refused to stand as witness for a defamation case that was filed against a clothing company.
According to sources from the law industry on February 11, Rain was chosen to be a witness for a case against the businessman Mr. Lee the singer sued for libel. However, the singer announced that he will not be attending the case hearing.
Rain has given no clear reason for not making it to the court hearing, but the singer was reported to be concerned about the media spotlight. He recently came under fire for meeting his girlfriend, Kim Tae Hee during his military duty.
According to the law, Rain can be fined up to 5 million KRW if he is absent without having a justified reason. The judge for this case stated that he will wait and see if he has a legitimate reason for not testifying after the court date is over.
