‘IRIS 2’ makes premiere with highest rating for its timeslot

The highly anticipated KBS2’s new Wednesday-Thursday series ‘IRIS 2’ finally made its premiere and ranked first for its timeslot.
According to AGB Nielsen, ‘IRIS 2’ received an overnight rating of 14.4 percent for its first episode, beating both ‘Wind Blows in Winter’ and MBC’s ‘7th Grade Civil Servant’ with 11.3 and 12.7 percent respectively.
‘Wind Blows in Winter’ later recorded 12.8 percent with episode 2, which was aired back to back.
The sequel of the ‘IRIS’ revolves around NSS, a top secret agency, three years after Kim Hyun Joon (played by Lee Byung Hun) was assassinated. The new series features top actors and actress such as Jang Hyuk, Lee Da Hae, Lee Bum Soo and Oh Yeon Soo as well as idols Lee Joon and Doojoon.
