The teen duo Akdong Musician won the second season of SBS audition program, ‘K-Pop Star 2’!

The duo Lee Chanhyuk (18) and his younger sister Soohyun (15) pushed back Bang Ye Dam on the final round of the show, which aired on April 7, and took the title as winner of ‘K-Pop Star 2’. They won prize money of 300 million KRW and the opportunity to release an album with one of three major entertainment agencies in Korea; JYP, SM or YG.

After winning Lee Chan Hyuk stated, “I didn’t know we would come this far because there were so many great people in the top 10. Thank you mother and father.”

The Top 2 were asked to sing a song sung earlier in the season by other contestants. Akdong Musician took on the track “Mmmbob” for round 1 and “Warm Goodbye” for the second round, and received much praise from judges and audience.
