After releasing the happy news of her pregnancy earlier in the week, Baek Ji Young explained why she had waited to share the news with the public.

Baek Ji Young’s agency WS Entertainment revealed, “When Baek Ji Young and Jung Suk Won announced their wedding plans last month, they knew about her pregnancy. However, in fear of the public judging her negatively, we denied the news in our press release.”

The agency added, “Her pregnancy is a very private matter and we were being cautious. Especially since Baek Ji Young is at her early stages of pregnancy at a fairly late age, she needs to take extra precaution. Thus, they didn’t want hateful comments from netizens and the public to put her into a state of distress.”

Meanwhile, it was revealed that Baek Ji Young is currently nine weeks pregnant and she is preparing for her wedding with Jung Suk Won in June.
