Singer IU addressed rumors that she had been attacked by a fan.

According to a report, IU experienced an assault by an overzealous fan at actor Seo Ji Suk's wedding, where she was invited to sing. A young male fan who looks to be in his early 20s grabbed the mic after IU’s performance and asker her if she would like to marry him.

However, an official from IU’s management agency cleared that the “assault” was a bit exaggerated. IU explained through the agency, “That rumor is completely false. There was a fan at the event, but he did not attack me. It was not a serious issue.”

On May 18th, IU attended wedding ceremony of actor Seo Ji Seok that was held at Patio9 located in Gangnam district, Seoul. After IU performed the wedding song, a male fan yelled, “Please marry me,” and a bit of noise was made.
