Following the tradition of T-ara, leader Soyeon passed the leader position to Qri, making her the 5th leader of the group.

On July 14, the group's agency revealed that in preparation for T-ara's upcoming album and Areum's departure, Qri has been selected to lead the group. After Eunjung, Boram, Hyomin and Soyeon, Qri is now the 5th leader.
The agency explained to Osen, "It is a part of the group to change the leader whenever there are new activities. For this, Qri is going to be in charged of their future activities."

Soyeon has been the leader for one and a half year since January 2012. On July 13, Qri stood up on the stage as the leader for the first time at Budokan arena in Tokyo, Japan.

On the said day, Qri announced, "I really had fun for today is my first day as the leader. Please look forward for brighter T-ara." After her short speech, the fans cheered for her who received warm welcome.

Meanwhile, T-ara is going to promote with 6 members for their comeback at the end of 2014.
