No Min Woo, who recently returned to the music scene with the band ICON, is enjoying popularity in Japan as the rising music icon of Asia. ICON’s first single ‘ICONIC OH DISCO ‘ROCK STAR’’ was released in Japan on July 3 and it rose to the top of Tower Records Osaka’s offline album sales chart. In addition, the single also topped the weekly album sales chart of Korea’s Hot Tracks. Although No Min Woo is not a prominent K-Pop idol, Tower Records Shibuya Store and Osaka Store installed a separate booth for his album that is usually given to well-backed artists. He has been growing popular in Japan after his drama ‘Full House 2’ was introduced in the country. Meanwhile, No Min Woo will hold a live concert and launch his official fanclub in Tokyo on August 9th.
