It was previously reported that YG Entertainment was looking to expand its market in Greater China and now, the agency is starting its move by launching an official channel on China’s online video-streaming platform Youku.

On July 24, YG Entertainment signed an agreement with representatives of Samsung Electronics China and Youku to launch ‘YG Family Channel’ on China’s biggest video hosting website, Youku.

The launch of ‘YG Family Channel’ is a pioneer co-project of YG Entertainment and Samsung Electronics to begin marketing in the Chinese market. Samsung Electronics will be the official sponsor of YG’s official channel, and such strategic Korean Wave marketing will strengthen promotions that targets the Chinese youth.

The channel was launched on July 25 local time, which also marked the start of YG’s expansion of promotional activities in the country.
