With rumors swirling around stating that Wonder Girls are in the process of disbanding, JYP Entertainment stepped forward and denied the issue.

The speculations about their possible disbandment were brought up after one media outlet had reported that Yenny, Yubin and Sohee’s contracts will be ending soon at the end of the year or early next year. Leader Sunye is expecting a baby soon, and an acquaintance previously announced that she would then go to Haiti to do missionary work.

A representative of JYP Entertainment said on August 29, “The Wonder Girls are currently in the middle of their individual activities. We’ve never talked about disbandment within the company.”

The rep added, “For the time being the group will let Sunye enjoy her married life, and the members will promote individually.”
