Instead of the usual five weeks, actor Song Joong Ki will be getting another week of basic military training.

According to the Training Center, the actor, who was enlisted in the army last month, will get six weeks of basic military training rather than the usual five weeks due to many national holidays.

A commissioned officer stated, “The new trainees will have six weeks of training as it is hard to secure enough training hours due to many holidays coming up, such as Chuseok holiday, Armed Forces Day, National Foundation Day of Korea and Hangul Proclamation Day.”
