Actresses Park Si Yeon Jang Mi In Ae and Lee Seung Yeon were each sentenced to 8 months and 10 months of imprisonment for drug use. During the final trial held at the Seoul Central District Courts on October 28, the prosecution demanded that actress Park Si Yeon and Lee Seung Yeon be served with a 8 month imprisonment sentence, while demanded Jang Mi In Ae 10 months of imprisonment and additional charge. Regarding on the difference sentence, the prosecution stated that Lee Seung Yeon and Park Si Yeon confessed their faults, while Jang Mi In Ae continuously denied constant propofol injection and claimed that she was not aware of the identity of the drug even though she has been getting it injected for years. The prosecution also stated, “We considered the logic that everything that happens in a hospital should be blamed to the doctor. However, the total time and frequency of the injection were way above the line, and all of the three made continuous false statements during the investigations.” The three actresses were accused of inveterate use of propofol this April. The prosecution has claimed that Lee Seung Yeon was regularly injected propofol 300 to 500 times for six years, Park Si Yeon 400 to 500 times four years and Jang Mi In Ae 400 times for six years.
