On April 30th, Shanghai Oriental Satellite TV officially announced that they bought the copyright of "Grandpas Over Flowers" from CJ E&M and therefore they will proceed with production of a Chinese version of the show.

They also stated that there will be a press conference featuring the cast of the show, and it was said f(x)'s Victoria will make her appearance as the "porter angel" and helps the cast during their trip. Her role will somehow the same to Sunny in the Korean version.

PD Na Young Suk previously attended a press conference at Shanghai with the director for the Chinese version on April 10th, and it was said that the production team of the Korean version will participate in the making of the show.
