Kris is currently rumoured to be dating Chinese director and actress Xu Jinglei.

On July 6th, according to media reports in China, Kris and Xu Jinglei are currently dating each other. As for the female director, she has shown her interest in Kris ever since his debut and helped him a lot during his struggling time to leave SM Entertainment. Even thought they have a 16-year age gap but Xu Jinglei is the one that Kris can rely on. Also apparently their relationship is a well-known fact among local entertainment officials.

In addition, Kris is currently staying in Prague, Czech Republic to film for "Somewhere Only We Know" which is directed by Xu Jinglei.
