As of 9am kst on August 9th, according to the Korean Film Council, "The Pirates" officially surpassed 1 million viewers. The movie attracted 270.000 people on the first day premiere, ranked at 2nd place after the current box office's hit "Roaring Currents". It's also the comedy film that has the highest pre-book tickets sale at the moment.
