YG Entertainment will enter the cosmetic business with the launch of their own cosmetic brand 'moonshot'.

According to the agency, the name 'moonshot' was inspired from the first successful landing of the Apolo 11 on the Moon on July 20th, 1969 which holds the meaning that dream finally turns into reality. With their new cosmetic brand, YG Entertainment hopes to break away from the traditional and stererotype of makeup in order to take on various new attemps and challenges.

In addition, YG Entertainment will hold a lanching party 'Moon Tanning Party' at Platoon Kunsthalle in Gangnam, Seoul on October 2nd with the attendance of CEO Yang Hyun Suk, Yang Min Suk along with models Lee Sung Kyung, Choi So Ra and actor Cha Seung Won. Epik High will be performing at the party.

'moonshot' will have a total of 208 products in its line. The offline and online stores will be opened in mid-October. The brand is also expected to expand into the overseas market as well.
