NBC Universal to remake Jtbc's program ′Hidden Singer′

It has been revealed that the format of JTBC‘s hit variety program “Hidden Singer” was sold to NBC Universal in order to remake into an US version.
A rep from Jtbc said, “After broadcasting ‘Hidden Singer’ we got many love-calls from various networks to buy the program's copyright. After a year of negotiation, we decided to sell the format to NBC Universal, which is a popular network owning channel NBC, CNBC, Bravo, and E!. They also imported the format of ‘The Voice‘ from the Netherlands and made it a big hit in the world”
“Hidden Singer” is a singing program in which real singers compete with non-celebrities who have similar voices. Audience will vote for the voice they prefer to decide the winner. Fans are expecting the US version to have many famous singers' participation.
