Singer Joanne(Lee Yeon Ji) reported to have passed away from a car accident at the age of 26.
According to an official in the industry who spoke with her family through a phone call on December 3rd, Joanne got into a car accident one day before Thanksgiving on November 26th(US Time) and was in a coma until December 2nd when she passed away.
Joanne made her debut with 'Good Day Sunshine' in 2001 at the young age of 13 and was called as the 'second BoA' thanks to her pure image and talents. She later gained popularity through SBS's sitcom 'Orange' in 2002 then stopped her career and returned to the United States due to family matters.
However, she made her surprise appearance at Mnet's 'Superstar K4' in 2012 but since she didn't leave any good impression on the judges at the time, she eventually went back to her home in the United States.
We offer our deepest condolences to Joanne' family, friends and her loved ones.
