KBS has officially announced that they have abolished the awards segment for its upcoming year-end music event.

A rep from KBS said on December 8th,"This year's music festival will not include the 'Song of the Year' award. We will not invite many teams as there will be only 22 teams to present, so that we can easily make place for everyone to enjoy the festival. Just being invited to the festival will be counted as this year' artists".

EXO 'Growl' won 'Song of the Year' award at 'KBS Gayo Daejun' last year.

'2014 KBS Music Festival' will be held on December 26th.
