Google wanted to map the whole of Thailand, as much as possible, but considering how most of the nation is countrywide, it would be difficult to send their cars there. So they decided to employ one guy, who walked over 300,000 miles with a 40 pound camera on his back to capture everything.
They got Thai triathlete Panupong Luangsa-ard and gave him a backpack to track the whole country.
The walk took him over two years.
And the best part? He only took days off when it was rainy.
Each working day lasted 6 to 8 hours because of the battery life of the camera.
