The Olympic athletes in Rio are going to be having a lot of sex, as do what happens every time the Olympic games happen. In fact, this time around, they'll be having more sex than ever. The International Olympic Committee has ordered 450,000 condoms to be supplied to the 10,500 athletes taking part in the games.


The 450,000 prophylactics are made up of 100,000 female condoms and 350,000 for men. In addition, 175,000 packets of lube are being supplied.



At the Sydney Olympics in 2000 an emergency order of 20,000 condoms were brought in when the initial provision of 70,000 ran out half-way through the games.
