Generally speaking, extending your left hand out to shake someone else's hand is rude all over. Why couldn't you use your right hand? If you didn't have a legitimate excuse, then it would be rude. What do you think? A British online travel agency created an infographic to educate people all over about the rude gestures you can do with your hands in various countries and cultures.
For example, the middle finger is global. But what's surprising is some common expressions are also considered rude in some cultures. Take for example the thumbs up. It is rude in 8 countries.
