While legit news sources failed to expect this, fake news source The Onion saw this coming way back in 2008. "Most experts now agree that, at current usage levels, Miley Cyrus will be drained dry of entertainment value by 2013," states the report. "Within two years, she'll be little more than a withered, desiccated husk, incapable of causing anyone any amusement at all."

And then the 2013 MTV VMAs happened.
