This animation shows a heart break and a break up. With the audio consisting of a phone call between two lovers, the break up is represented by inky combatants battling it out in kung fu.

Ng explains his inspiration for the short film Requiem for Romance was from the 1950s Shanghai water ink animation in addition to kung fu films when he created Requiem. Check it out below:
